Gina Gannon is an in-demand television and event host, traffic reporter, and self-proclaimed foodie. Born and raised in “The City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection,” she exudes Philly Pride and exercises that homegrown passion into every facet of her life and career.
Gina caught the TV bug early in life and started anchoring entertainment segments for her grade school’s news program. From then, she knew it was the only path she wished to pursue. When the time came for Gina to apply to college, Temple University was the clear choice, due to their exceptional Communications Program. Gina received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and proudly exudes her “Temple Made” mentality wherever she goes.
Gina’s current slate includes working as a food host on QVC. As a food host, she represents numerous food brands on QVC’s multiple channels. This professional opportunity was percolating long before she ever appeared in front of the retail giant’s cameras. From the first moment she watched QVC, she knew she had the perfect skill set for a career selling food. Gina has never looked back, as she has become a familiar face for multiple brands, sharing her love and passion of food with QVC’s massive audience.
Currently, Gina can also be seen reporting traffic on WPVI 6ABC Action News, Philadelphia’s most watched news station. Throughout her time at 6ABC, she often hosts their ever-popular lifestyle show, “FYI Philly,” where she presents a food segment entitled “In the Kitchen with Alessi.” There, Gina opens viewers’ eyes to one-of-a-kind recipes, from family dinners to date nights. Like most of the Greater Philadelphia Region, Gina grew up watching 6ABC. This full-circle career opportunity allows her to represent the station she has admired as a young, aspiring TV personality.
When she isn’t on-air, or working the event circuit, you can find Gina hosting events near and dear to her heart. Gina is on the Board of Directors for Mums and Mutts, an animal advocacy non-profit. Being an eternal animal lover, Gina was drawn to this specific organization as it aids in providing funding, marketing, and social media to help local shelter animals find forever homes. With this sentiment in mind, you will undoubtedly hear Gina gushing over her Yorkshire Terrier fur-babies, Mia and Coco.
Catch Gina around town, on-air at 6ABC and QVC, and giving her time to host many charitable events in the community. Want Gina to host your event? Fill out the form on the contact page!
